Voopoo Drag Series Guide: Every Model Compared

Overview

The Voopoo Drag series is Voopoo’s family of pod mods for vapers who want more power, bigger batteries and more control than a basic pod kit offers. At Vape Store Web we stock ten Drag models, from the pocket-sized Drag Nano 2 at AED 119 to the 177 W Drag 4 at AED 219. They fall into three groups: Drags with a built-in battery, Drags that run on a removable 18650 or 21700 cell, and high-power Drags that sit closer to a full box mod. Most of them share Voopoo’s PnP or PnP X coils, which makes upgrading within the range easy. This guide compares every Drag we sell side by side, explains the coil families, and helps you choose the right one. Specs come from our product listings and Voopoo’s official Drag pages. For adults aged 18 and over only.

Voopoo Drag models compared

The table below lists every Drag we currently stock with its battery, maximum power, coil system and price. The biggest practical difference is the battery: built-in models charge by USB-C and are ready to go, while external-battery models need a separate 18650 or 21700 cell (not included) but let you swap in a fresh battery instead of waiting to recharge. Power rises from 20 W on the Nano 2 to 177 W on the Drag 4.

Drags with a built-in battery

If you want a Drag that works straight out of the box, choose a built-in battery model. The Drag Nano 2 is the odd one out: a compact 800 mAh pod kit with three power levels up to 20 W and a 2 ml top-fill pod, made for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping with salt nic. Our Drag Nano 2 review covers it in detail.

The rest are proper pod mods. The Drag S2 pairs a 2500 mAh battery with 60 W and PnP X coils, and at AED 120 it is the best-value Drag we sell; read our Drag S2 review. The Drag S3 keeps 60 W but steps up to a 3000 mAh battery according to Voopoo, with a newer GENE chip and a colour TFT screen. The older Drag S and the Drag E60 (2550 mAh) use the original PnP pod and remain solid picks if you already own PnP coils.

Drags that use an 18650 or 21700 battery

The Drag X family trades the built-in battery for a removable cell. That sounds like extra hassle, but it has real advantages: you can carry a spare charged battery, replace a worn battery instead of the whole device, and, on the Drag X3, choose a larger 21700 cell for longer life. All three X models reach 80 W, which is plenty for direct-lung (DTL) vaping on mesh coils.

The Drag X2 (AED 125) and Drag X3 (AED 140) use the PnP X cartridge, while the original Drag X (AED 149) uses the older PnP pod. Use only good-quality, authentic 18650 or 21700 cells from a trusted brand, and never carry loose batteries in a pocket with keys or coins. Our Drag X2 review and Drag X review go deeper on each.

High-power Drags: M100S and Drag 4

Two Drags sit closer to a full box mod than a pod kit. The Drag M100S (AED 180) runs on a single 18650, 20700 or 21700 battery and reaches 100 W on PnP coils. It suits vapers who want big clouds but still like the convenience of a pod-style cartridge. Our Drag M100S review covers the trade-offs.

The Drag 4 (AED 219) is the most powerful Drag we stock. It takes two 18650 batteries (not included), runs up to 177 W on the GENE.FAN chip and uses a 5.5 ml pod tank. This is a device for experienced sub-ohm vapers who already know how to match coils, wattage and batteries safely. If you are new to vaping, start with a built-in battery Drag instead and move up later. See our Drag 4 review for more.

PnP and PnP X coils explained

Most Drags use Voopoo’s PnP coil platform, which comes in two generations. The original PnP pods fit the Drag S, Drag X, Drag E60 and Drag M100S. The newer PnP X cartridge fits the Drag S2, Drag S3, Drag X2 and Drag X3, and Voopoo lists PnP X coils from 0.15 Ω to 1.0 Ω. We stock PnP X coils, PnP coils in all resistances and PnP X replacement pods.

Pick the resistance to match your e-liquid. Lower-resistance mesh coils (roughly 0.15–0.3 Ω) at higher wattage suit freebase e-liquid and DTL vaping, while higher-resistance coils (around 0.6–1.0 Ω) at lower wattage suit salt nic and MTL vaping. Our freebase vs salt nic guide explains why this matters. The Drag Nano 2 and Drag 4 use their own pods, so check the product page before buying spares.

Drag vs Argus vs Vinci

Voopoo has three main pod-mod families, and they overlap. The Drag series focuses on power and battery life, with most models at 60 W or more. The Argus range is Voopoo’s compact line, with pod kits from 17 W to 40 W plus a few PnP-based pod mods; see our Voopoo Argus guide. The Vinci line sits in between: the Vinci 3 offers 50 W from an 1800 mAh battery, and the Vinci E120 goes up to 120 W.

If you are comparing Voopoo with another brand, our SMOK vs Voopoo comparison looks at how the Drag stacks up against the SMOK Nord and RPM ranges. In short, the Drag tends to win on build and coil simplicity, while SMOK offers more shapes and coil choices.

Which Voopoo Drag should you buy?

For most people, the Drag S2 (AED 120) is the one to buy: a big built-in battery, 60 W and PnP X coils at a low price. Choose the Drag S3 (AED 140) if you want the newest chip, a larger battery and a colour screen. If you want to swap batteries, the Drag X2 or Drag X3 are the best 80 W options, with the X3 taking a 21700 cell. Experienced cloud chasers can step up to the Drag M100S or Drag 4, and MTL vapers who want something small should look at the Drag Nano 2.

Every Drag is refillable, so pair it with the right e-liquid from our best e-liquid brands in the UAE guide, and browse the full Voopoo range. Orders deliver within 2 hours in Dubai, depending on location, and nicotine products are sold to adults 18+ only in line with UAE vaping rules.

Which Voopoo Drag has the biggest battery?

Among built-in models, the Drag S3 has the largest battery at 3000 mAh according to Voopoo. The Drag X3 can run longer still with a 21700 cell, and the Drag 4 uses two 18650 batteries.

Do all Voopoo Drag models use the same coils?

No. The Drag S2, S3, X2 and X3 use PnP X coils. The Drag S, X, E60 and M100S use original PnP coils. The Drag Nano 2 and Drag 4 use their own pods.

Is the Voopoo Drag good for beginners?

The Drag Nano 2 and Drag S2 are both beginner-friendly. Start with a higher-resistance coil around 0.6–1.0 Ω, low wattage and salt nic, and move to lower-resistance coils later if you want bigger clouds.

Are external 18650 batteries included with the Drag X kits?

No. The Drag X, X2, X3, M100S and Drag 4 need batteries bought separately. Use authentic, high-drain cells and a proper charger, and store spare batteries in a case.
