RELX Pod Compatibility Guide: Which Pods Fit Your Device?

Overview

RELX pod compatibility comes down to two pod families: RELX Pod Pro, which fits the Infinity, Infinity Plus, Essential and Artisan, and RELX Pod Pro 2, which is designed for the Infinity 2 and unlocks its three power modes. Buying the wrong pack is one of the most common mistakes we see, because the two look almost identical on the shelf. This guide explains the difference, gives a device-by-device chart, and covers the RELX devices that don’t take pods at all. Where RELX’s own information is limited, we say so rather than guess. RELX products are for adults aged 18 and over only.

RELX pod compatibility: RELX Pod Pro replacement cartridges 2 pack

Pod Pro vs Pod Pro 2: the difference

Both are sealed, pre-filled cartridges of about 1.9 ml with a ceramic coil, and both give the same tight mouth-to-lung draw. You don’t refill them or change a coil: when the flavour fades or the pod is empty, you replace it.

The practical difference is the magnets that hold the pod in the device. On Pod Pro the magnets are circular, while on Pod Pro 2 they’re elliptical (Vapourcore). The Infinity 2 uses this shape to recognise a Pod Pro 2 and enable its Eco, Smooth and Boost power modes. Pod Pro 2 is also marketed with improved leak resistance.

The older RELX Pod (the original “Classic” pod) is a different format again. RELX says its Classic device takes the RELXPods format, while the Infinity and Essential take RELX Pod Pro and RELX Pod (RELX FAQ).

The easiest way to tell them apart in a shop is the box: it names either “Pod Pro” or “Pod Pro 2”. Our product pages list both separately: RELX Pod Pro (2 pods, AED 50) and RELX Pod Pro 2 (1 pod, AED 30).

Pods for the Infinity and Essential

The original RELX Infinity and the RELX Essential both take RELX Pod Pro. This is confirmed in RELX’s own FAQ, which lists Pod Pro and RELX Pod as compatible with both devices. If you own either one, Pod Pro is the safe choice.

The Essential is RELX’s entry-level pod device, with a 350 mAh battery and no screen or modes. The Infinity adds a 380 mAh battery and a slimmer body. Neither has power modes, so there’s nothing extra to gain from Pod Pro 2 on these devices.

Pod Pro is sold in packs of two, which makes it better value per pod than buying singles. If you use one pod every day or two, a few packs cover a week or more. Keep a spare in your bag: a sealed pod is the quickest fix if your flavour suddenly tastes burnt, which usually means the current pod is nearly empty.

Shop the RELX Infinity kit (AED 115) and RELX Essential kit (AED 94), or see all devices on our RELX brand page.

Pods for the Infinity 2

The RELX Infinity 2 is designed around RELX Pod Pro 2. With a Pod Pro 2 fitted, you get all three power modes: Eco at about 5.5 W, Smooth at about 6.5 W and Boost at about 8 W. This is the pairing we recommend.

What about older Pod Pro pods in an Infinity 2? Independent retailer testing reports that they can fit, but the device then runs at a single default power level, so the modes that make the Infinity 2 worth buying stop working. Other sellers describe the two pods as not interchangeable. Because reports differ, treat Pod Pro in an Infinity 2 as a backup at best, and buy Pod Pro 2 for everyday use.

The Infinity 2 also has a bigger 440 mAh battery and faster USB Type-C charging than earlier Infinity models. Our RELX Infinity 2 review covers the device in detail, and our Infinity vs Infinity Plus vs Infinity 2 comparison sets the three side by side.

Pod Pro 2 is sold as single pods at Vape Store Web, from AED 30 each, in a range of flavours. Always check the nicotine strength of the flavour you select on the product page.

Infinity Plus, Artisan and Breeze

The RELX Infinity Plus is a button-free version of the Infinity with a single power level and a 380 mAh battery. It belongs to the Pod Pro generation, so Pod Pro is the pod to buy.

The RELX Artisan is RELX’s premium model, finished in leather. RELX’s product page lists it as compatible with RELX Pod Pro and RELX Pod flavours (RELX Artisan). Our RELX Artisan review covers it in full.

The RELX Breeze is less documented. RELX’s FAQ doesn’t list its pods, and sellers’ descriptions differ. Before you buy pods for a Breeze, message us on WhatsApp with a photo of your device and we’ll confirm which pod fits. It takes a minute and saves buying the wrong pack.

This is also the right approach for any RELX device not listed here. RELX sells region-specific models, and names can overlap, so a quick check is always worth it.

RELX disposables don’t use pods

A common source of confusion is that RELX also sells disposable vapes. These don’t take Pod Pro or Pod Pro 2. They come pre-filled and sealed, and you use them until the e-liquid runs out, recharging the battery over USB Type-C along the way.

At Vape Store Web, RELX disposables include the RELX Peace 25K (20 mg, with a screen and adjustable airflow), the RELX Ace 20K 20mg, the Creator 15K, the MagicGo GA4000, the Blade 50K and the Optimus 60K.

If you’re deciding between a pod device and a disposable, think about cost and convenience. A pod device costs more upfront, but pods usually cost less per day than buying a new disposable each time. A disposable needs no setup and no spare pods, which suits occasional vapers or travel.

Whichever you choose, check the nicotine strength on the product page. The UAE’s standard for electronic nicotine products caps e-liquid at 20 mg/ml (Tobacco Control Laws).

Buying and storing RELX pods

Counterfeit RELX pods are common. Signs of a fake include a verification code that doesn’t check out on RELX’s website, loose or misaligned packaging, a pod that sits badly on the magnets, and a burnt taste from the first puff. Buy from a shop that explains where its stock comes from; our Authenticity Guarantee covers how we source.

Store unopened pods upright in a cool, dry place. In the UAE that means not in a car or on a sunny windowsill, because heat thins the e-liquid and can cause leaks once the pod is fitted. Once opened, a pod is best used within a few weeks for full flavour.

If a new pod leaks or tastes burnt straight away, stop using it and contact us within 24 hours of delivery. Our Return Policy covers faulty and wrong items reported in that window.

Are RELX Pod Pro and Pod Pro 2 the same?

No. They hold the same amount of e-liquid, but the magnets differ. Pod Pro 2 is designed for the Infinity 2 and enables its power modes.

Will Pod Pro 2 fit my RELX Essential?

RELX lists Pod Pro and RELX Pod for the Essential. Stick with Pod Pro, which is confirmed to fit.

How many puffs is a RELX pod?

RELX lists up to about 2,000 puffs per pod for Pod Pro 2. Real life depends on draw length and power mode.

Can I refill RELX pods?

See every in-stock RELX model compared in our RELX Full Range Guide.

No. RELX pods are sealed and pre-filled. Refilling them isn’t supported and can cause leaks.
